The 2021 edition of For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conference for Ghana Accra West Coordinating Council of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was held at the Accra Recreational Center (Ayikuma).
The conference was categorized into two zones. Zone (1) began on September 6 and ended on September 10, while zone (2) started on September 20 and ended on September 25. Over 159 leaders,14 facilitators, and 1,022 youth from the wards and branches in the Ghana Accra West Coordinating Council attended this year’s conference.
The theme for the Conference was “ A GREAT WORK.” 'Wherefore be not weary in well-doing for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind; and the willing and the obedient shall eat of the good of the land of Zion in these last days.” Doctrine and Covenants 64:33-34
Youth in both zones participated in workshops that included preparing to serve a full-time mission, safety on social media, sexual purity, education, and technical skills acquisition. They also participated in devotionals, musical presentations, family home evening, games, a Living Christ activity, and several service projects.
The top priority for FSY conferences is to provide opportunities for the youth to strengthen their faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ while taking into consideration the safety of all who participate.
