Since a new star first appeared above Bethlehem, Christmas has been a season of light, reminding us that Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
The theme #LightTheWorld continues from last year. People from all walks of life are invited to prayerfully consider how they can follow the example of the Savior and share the Light of Jesus Christ with others during the Christmas season.
Watch for daily videos and Christ-like service suggestions to make your Christmas season more meaningful. Whether you're serving or being served, share it on social media, using the hashtag #LightTheWorld.
Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, “This Christmas season I invite you to seek opportunities to ‘Light the World.’ Beginning November 24 and continuing through Christmas Day, you can learn how to ‘light the way for others’ by visiting mormon.org.”
SERVE “IN 25 WAYS. OVER 25 DAYS.”
Each day, mormon.org will feature a teaching of the Savior with a brief video showing an example of the teaching in practice, along with service ideas.
Sharable online content is available beginning November 24, including a video that invites the public to perform acts of service following Christ’s example during the Christmas season.
Church leaders encourage people of all faiths to become involved in this global initiative to #LightTheWorld.
