As Christians around the world prepare for Easter week, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has started its annual Easter initiative. With the ongoing challenges brought on by the pandemic, this year’s campaign offers a timely message of hope and renewal in Jesus Christ through His atoning sacrifice in our lives.
A short video was posted Sunday morning on ComeUntoChrist.org and the Church of Jesus Christ social media channels using the hashtag #StartingToday.
“Starting today we can restart, reboot, relook at our lives,” reads the text in the video. “We can reevaluate, reassess, reexamine everything in life starting today because of how one day started 2,000 years ago. He left the tomb behind. We can leave our past behind if we hear Him, love Him, follow Him.”
This year’s initiative runs through Sunday, April 4, which is also the second day of the Church’s general conference weekend.
