The division of Family Services of the Department of Welfare and Self-Reliance is organizing the 'Mental Health Awareness Conference 2025' on November 22, 2025. The theme of this year's conference is 'Intentional Parenting: Creating an Emotionally Stable Home.'
The main objectives of the conference are the following:
Increase awareness of the resources available in terms of mental health and family services in the area.
Help Leaders, Parents, and members gain an increased understanding of:
- The Church's Position on Parenting
- Developmental stages of childhood and adolescence
- Communication skills and practices that strengthen Parent-Child relationships.
- Benefits of building self-confidence in children
- Different ways to nurture
• Assist leaders in identifying and effectively accessing Family Services online resources related to parenting.
The event will take place both virtually and in person at the following stake centers, with speakers from all over the area.
• November 22: Monrovia, Liberia Stake, Liberia
• Event schedule: 10:00 to 14:00.
