INVITATION TO 2021 STRENGTHENING FAMILIES CONFERENCE
The Africa West Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection; Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs; DOVVSU; National Commission on Culture; and other Partners cordially invites you to the third annual “Strengthening Families Conference”.
The theme of the 2021 Strengthening Families Conference is, “Strengthening the Rising Generation.”
The conference seeks to: -
• Bring together stakeholders to discuss some critical issues confronting the Rising Generation in areas of Education, Employment/Self Reliance, Values, Motivation/Empowerment and Physical/Mental health issues,
• Educate and create awareness on these critical issues,
• Discuss sustainable solutions to address these critical issues,
• Display and provide hands on experience through workshops and exhibitions with resources from:
o Family Search
o Welfare/Self Reliance
o Gathering Places
o S&I / CYD / Pathway
o NCCE / DOVSU / ABCD
• Invite stakeholders to transfer acquired knowledge and principles to their homes and communities.
DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
DATES: JUNE 23 - 24, 2021 – Opening Session /Workshops and Booth Exhibition/Address from Selected Speakers.
TIME: 10:00 am – 2:00pm G.M.T / 11:00am – 3:00pm W.A.T
VENUE: In-Person gathering for 200 participants at the Christiansburg Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 57 Independence Avenue, North Ridge in Accra, Ghana.
Virtual Participation: Via Zoom at Selected Stake center across the Africa West Area/ Facebook and YouTube.
Individual Participation: Kindly register with the link provided in the attached poster (below) to receive a zoom invitation.
This year’s conference will have speakers from West Africa, Europe and the United States of America.
