service

As part of the All Africa Service Project, Members of the Teshie Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have cleaned up the Teshie Landing beach site. The clean-up exercise, which was carried out along parts of the Teshie Nungua beach to the landing site was successfully carried out with support from the Ledzokuku and Krowor Municipal Assemblies, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a waste management company, fishers and some 100 residents of the community. About 600 members of the Teshie Stake of the Church fully participated in the four-hour exercise which aimed at rendering service to the community and also geared towards creating a positive influence about the Church. About 53 students from O'Reilly Senior High School (SHS) also joined in to help with the cleanup exercise. The Teshie Stake President, Jerry Nipah was happy with the commitment of members to the cleanup and advised residents to always ensure that they practice good sanitation to keep the community clean. The members were also happy to be part of the exercise to serve their community. Some opinion leaders of the community commended the members of the Church for undertaking the exercise to keep the beach clean
